Easy Double Dutch Braid Half Up | 1 Minute Hairstyles PART II

Hey everyone! Welcome back for another quick and easy hairstyles tutorial!

Today I’ll show you how to create this super cute but casual hairstyle for those days when you just want to do something a little bit different with your hair.

For part 1 in this series check out this post here: 1 Minute Hairstyles PART I | Easy Claw Clip Hairstyles

Items needed: 1 small hair ties. {Optional: a topsy-tail tool)

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 1-2 minutes

Step-by-step instructions:

1.) To start off this hairstyle, part your hair straight down the middle and then divide the top half of your hair into two sections:

2.) Next, with the free section of hair on one side of your head, grab a small section of hair from the front of your head and divide into three sections for a dutch braid. For an in-depth tutorial on how to dutch braid see this post here: Beginner’s Guide to DIY French & Dutch Braids

3.) Once you reach the crown of your head, stop adding in hair to the braid, and just braid down a little bit further with a normal plait.

4.) With your free hand, gently go back along the braid and tug on the outside bumps of the braid to pancake or fan out the braid for a more full look. Tie the braid with a hair tie securely against your head. Then repeat the sames steps on the opposite side of your head.

And you’re done!

As an optional extra, if you want to make the hairstyle look at bit more polished you can wrap some hair around the hair ties to cover them, either pinning the ends in the back to secure them, or using the topsy tail method here for a more secure hold.

I’d love to know what you think of this hairstyle, and if you’d try it out – Let me know in the comments!
